Special Information for AOL Users

America Online utilizes compression software that speeds up the delivery of web pages to it's members by compressing images. This compression of images can lead to a reduction in quality and sharpness that you may notice on many Internet Sites.

To insure that the images you see are of the highest quality you must deactivate the compression tool built into the AOL browser software using the following 5 sequential steps. Begin by (1) clicking the MY AOL menu drop-down and (2) choosing PREFERENCES. Next (3) click on the WWW option and then  (4) click on the WEB GRAPHICS tab. (5) Complete the process by  deselecting "Use Compressed Graphics" and click OK.

If you have already been through our site with compression "turned on" you may need to clear the old images out of browser memory. This can be easily done by holding down the "Control" key on your keyboard and simultaneously mouse-clicking on the Browser Refresh icon.

Note: Compression is the default setting and must be deactivated manually. These simple steps need only be done once and can provide you greater viewing pleasure on the FloridaStrips site as well as other sites on the Internet.
